In May I purchased Maybelline’s The Rocket mascara in the waterproof formula. I feel that this mascara gives me a lot of volume and length, it clumps a little but not terribly, it usually happens when I layer the product on a lot.
The worst thing about this mascara is removing it, obviously waterproof mascara is a little trickier to remove, but this mascara, oh wow, it takes me ages and I end up pulling lashes out! I’ve tried every Maybelline mascara, there’s two from the brand that I will always repurchase, and I almost always purchase the waterproof versions (never know when it's going to rain in sunny England) and they don’t give me much trouble at all. This is the trickiest Maybelline mascara I’ve used, I’m going to use it up though because I don’t hate the product, but I won’t repurchase it. Maybe I’ll try the non-waterproof version.
So i haven't blogged in a while because i've been in Florida. Then as soon as i got home i went straight back to work (9 till 5) so it's been busy and now things have settled down so i'm getting back to blogging :)
So yes, Florida was unreal!! I went with my boyfriend, we stayed in Orlando and went to Disney World, SeaWorld, did two days at Universal Studios and on a day trip through Tampa to Clearwater Beach which was so so beautiful. We went to Downtown Disney a lot too! I thought i'd share some photos... <3
I never thought i'd get to go to Florida so soon in life, but wow if you ever get the chance to go DO IT!
Please subscribe to emzxbeauty as i'll be uploading videos this week of my trip :)
This month's Glossybox brought me the NIP + FAB COCONUT LATTE DRY SKIN FIX BODY BUTTER (50ml). I was so excited to try this, as I am so obsessed with coconut scents!
I was hoping for a really amazing yummy scent. Unfortunately I was very disappointed with the product... The scent smells more like Play Doh than anything, compared to my other coconut body butters. I agree that the butter is nourishing but I wouldn't agree that it leaves me with a calming scent like it tells you on the back of the product.
However, I've heard good things about the PISTACHIO SUNDAE body butter, so I will maybe try that out and review it at some point.
I think I was so disappointed because I was SO excited before opening the product and I'd even hoped to receive a NIP + FAB product in my box.
If you'd like to try any of their body butters then the official NIP + FAB website are doing 50% off. So currently the 200ml butters are priced at £4.95 NIP + FAB BODY BUTTERS ... But I've warned you about this one poopy product.
I got this cute bird cage shelf for £12 at Urban Outfitters and thought I would show y'all what it is holding currently. I'm so glad I found this piece of décor for my desk, it looks so cute. They had loads left when I picked it up, so go have a look! But here goes:
Top Shelf: Here I'm keeping the two candles i have been burning. They're both from Primark. The first candle is Sweet Vanilla and the second is Elderflower and Champagne. I adore their packaging. Primark are great candle makers haha! The candles are so inexpensive and the scents are strong enough to make the room smell lovely, which I was surprised at :)
Bottom Shelf: Here I have been keeping current skincare products.
So i have my two absolute favourite Body Shop body butters. The top one is the Mango Body Butter and the bottom one is Coconut Body Butter.
The sachet to the left of the body butters is a sample of 'Rainforest Moisture Hair Butter' from The Body Shop which I put their to remind me to try it out.
Right of the body butters I have a Garnier Youthful Radiance Day Cream which I've been using for a few months. I'm only 18 and I'm using a "sort of" wrinkle cream I know it's not the best for young skin but I love it, I love the smell, it's the same fragrance as the Garnier BB Cream. I do have another moisturiser which I use a lot more often as well but it doesn't fit! It's the Garnier Moisture Match Normal Skin with SPF 20 (yellow packaging).
So the last product i have to mention is the Nivea Vanilla & Macadamia Lip Butter! Who hasn't tried this yet? You need to try it! I use this everyday, it makes my lips so soft and haven't had any dry/cracked lips problems since I've started using this. Their other "flavours" are great too.
So that's it! I'll probably do another one of these when my shelf products are eventually changed up.
I always look forward to spring, mainly because the weather starts to get warmer but another reason is getting out all my spring polishes. These are my top 5 at the moment:
From L-R: Seche (Precious), Barry M (Coral), Barry M (Peach Melba), Essie (Mint Candy Apple), Topshop (Junkyard)
My ultimate favourite would have to be Topshop's Junkyard, it just reminds me of the ocean, swimming pools and summer! Seche's Precious would come second as i love the pink with the purple/blue undertones.
Then, of course you have to get out your corals and pastels! <3
1. Batiste Coconut & Tropical Exotic Dry Shampoo: I am very fond of this dry shampoo as it adds texture to your hair as well as freshens it up. I sometimes use this to add some extra oomff to my hair, not just to clean it. This is my fave Batiste dry shampoo mainly because of the smell, most of these products do a similar job but I'm obsessed with coconut and the smell stays all day. I used to use Tresemme's Volumising Dry Shampoo but the lovely smell of the product did not stay for long so that's why I gave Batiste a go and I am glad I did <3 http://www.boots.com/en/Batiste/Batiste-Fragrances/
2. Aussie Miracle Hair Insurance: This product leaves my hair so soft and the smell is lovely too, i think it's an odd smell to be honest but I like it! I use this leave-in conditioner all the time, mostly after I've washed it to protect against heat from styling and if i feel like my hair needs some help, or just because I want my hair to smell good. http://www.boots.com/en/Aussie-Miracle-Hair-Insurance-Leave-in-Conditioner-250ml_1078/
3. milk_shake conditioning whipped cream: This stuff, guys, is unreal. It's a milkshake for your hair! Haha, but seriously... This product is basically a mousse, it smells of chocolate/vanilla cream and it comes out the packaging like a whipped cream. It's a "protective creamy foam for all hair types". So this stuff protects and conditions your hair, I haven't noticed a HUGE difference but my hair did feel soft and smell amazing. This product is a bit pricey but not too pricey, I would re-purchase it, I would also like to eat it, but I can't. http://www.milkshakehairproducts.co.uk/conditioner-products/milkshake-conditioning-whipped-cream.html
