GLOSSYBOX JULY 2014 | STARS AND STRIPES

I've been waiting for you cute little AMERICAN box :)

I had unsubscribed to Glossybox a few months ago as the boxes were getting more and more disappointing, but I made a reminder to make sure I get this box when it gets to July as I knew it was going to be American themed - I'm obsessed with the US :') The theme is STARS & STRIPES (American) to celebrate the 4th July and the products included in the box are, made in the USAAAAA - get it? Sorry also a huge Demi Lovato fan.

BELLAPIERRE COSMETICS Mineral Lipstick 'Ruby' | Full Size - £20

I am always looking for a good red lipstick, this one looks beautiful so I cannot wait to try it. I can't believe this costs £20 and is in my box. Well done Glossybox. This lipstick protects against the sun which is cool and is made up of natural ingredients! Moisturising and long lasting colour, nice!

TARTE Lights, Camera, Lashes 4-in-1 Mascara | Full Size - £19.50

I can't believe I got this mascara in my box! I've been eyeing this up for so long. I LOVE the packaging, I don't know why! Apparently lengthening, curling, volumising and conditioning, I can't wait to try this out to see if that's really true. This mascara costs £19.50, so I'm very impressed with Glossybox, it's slightly cheaper on QVC at the moment (click the heading). I'm soo excited!

ABSOLUTE NEW YORK Perfecting Eyeshadow Primer | Full Size - $4.99/ £2.90

I am quite happy with the eyeshadow primers I have at the moment, but I am so up for comparing this. It's cheaper than my others and sounds pretty nice, we will see.

CARMEX Lip Balm | Full Size - £2.69

I do really like Carmex and it's cool that this is an American product but we've had Carmex in England for a very long time, so I'm not too excited about this. However, it is an effective product which nourishes, protects and soothes chapped lips and I would repurchase it anyway, maybe not in the original scent, that's the only thing I'm not a fan of. Luckily they make other scents.

COLOR CLUB 'Glossy Seal' Nail Polish | Full Size $8/ £4.70

This shade has been created especially for this months Glossybox. I don't own this shade of blue and it's so lovely, obviously related to the box theme, awesome! I love that Color Club nail polishes are formulated with only non-toxic, cruelty free ingredients, it's a plus as the colour, pigmentation and lasting power of their polishes are just as awesome. I own a few of their polishes and think they are great!

I'm really impressed with the July box, partly because of the Stars & Stripes theme. I am so in love with the box I've placed it very nicely on my desk (I'm so sad). But I'm also very impressed by all of the products placed in my box - I will definitely use all of them! Maybe I will subscribe to Glossybox again.

You can subscribe to Glossybox and get the July box here, all the links to the products are in the headings.

BIRCHBOX JULY 2014 REVIEW

This month's theme is 'Sun, Sean & Sand', to be honest, I don't think any of these products have anything to do with the sun, sea and sand...

BALANCE ME Wonder Eye Cream | Full Size - £20

I'm always looking for eye creams so I am VERY excited to try this. I really like Balance Me as their products are a lot more natural than other products, they also smell amazing. This eye cream will (hopefully) brighten under the eyes and keep wrinkles at bay.

MODELS OWN Nail Polish 'Rocket' | Full Size - £5

I'm not sure about this, the colour, the glitter. This nail polish is part of the Model's Own Fireworks range, which does look pretty cool, but not really for me, maybe I'd wear it on November 5th. I don't know, I just really can't see myself wearing it, maybe it would look nicer on the nails than in the bottle.

FILOSOFILLE 4 Sided Nail Buffer

No thank you. I hate these things, what a rubbish lifestyle extra, for me anyway. I would rather have received the Ultradex. There's really not much I can say about this product, I think we all know what a 4 sided nail buffer is? 1. File 2. Buffer 3. Polish 4. Shine.

LAQA & CO Lip Lube Pencil 'Menatour' | Full Size - £14

I am really not sure about this colour, it's bright purple! I won't wear that. I saw another shade others received and I so wish I got that one. Although I'm not a fan of the colour, it is meant to be a sheer pencil, so maybe it won't look too bright on the lips. I'd like to see what the staying power is like. The packaging and name of this is pretty cute.

WHISH Lavender Body Butter | Full Size £14.50

I'm quite a fan of lavender products but I don't think this smells much like lavender. I think the packaging is cute, retro, I love the colour. I seem to receive a body butter/lotion in my box each month, which is getting a bit boring, but oh well. Will see how I get on with this one :)

BENEFIT The Porefessional | £24.50

I already have this product so I wasn't too excited to see this in my box, but really I feel grateful to see a Benefit product as they are pretty expensive! I think this is a great primer and highly recommend it, it feels so silky on the skin, evens out my skin tone and just really looks lovely.

This was probably my least favourite Birchbox so far, I'm really sad to say that as they've been so good the last few months. This box had nothing to do with it's theme, Birchbox could have got a little more creative I think. The majority of these products I probably won't use, I know that's not their fault.

You can subscribe to Birchbox here  all the links to the products are in the headings.

What did you think of this box? Can you recommend any other beauty boxes, apart from Glossybox :)

EMPTIES #3

THE BODY SHOP Coconut Body Butter

This is one of my summer essentials, I've used this since I was like 11 years old, it reminds me of summer and holidays and good times. This leaves my skin so soft and silky and looking and smelling gooood. I will always repurchase this!

THE BODY SHOP Coconut Shower Cream

Another coconut product, which I also repurchase when I've run out, I love using this in the summer. This is lovely to use in the bath/shower, so moisturising.

L'OCCITANE Angelica Hydra Vital Cream

This was a lovely moisturiser to use, didn't break me out, which I'm always worried about with moisturisers and just felt lovely on my face. The scent was pleasant also, I would repurchase sooner if it wasn't so expensive... £32 for 50ml...!

SANCTUARY Body Scrub

I love the sanctuary scent, I've used a lot of their products, I actually got this a while ago but it took me ages to finish, it just lasted so long.
This scrub leaves my skin really soft, I think it's quite moisturising. I'd repurchase!

BALANCE ME Super Toning Body Wash

I've never used a toning body wash before so I was interested in trying this. I did actually feel a difference in my skin, the skin on my legs especially felt tight and smooth which is pretty handy. This product smells lovely I wish I hadn't finished it up so quickly, I'm definitely going to repurchase.

TRESEMME Platinum Strength 60 Second Treatment Shot - 15ml

I wish there was more product as my hair is so long, but for people with shorter hair than me, this amount would be fine. I did find my hair to be quite soft and shinier but not sure I'd repurchase, It's very inexpensive though.

DOVE Intensive Repair 60 Second Treatment Shot - 15ml

I preferred this to the Tresemme shot, I preferred the scent and the feel of my hair afterwards, it felt softer. The packaging and name of this is like, identical to the Tresemme one almost so did they work together or something? Again I wish there was just a tiny bit more product as I have Rapunzel hair :) but would probably repurchase.

MINI HOME/DECOR HAUL

Just a little haul :)

Watermelon scented candle - Primark £1

This is so cute. It smells pretty good but I haven't lit it yet so hopefully it smells just as good when it is burning. I got this mainly because the watermelon slice was just adorable.

Ice Cream Scoop - Primark £1.50

I got this for my house I do not have yet. I am forever buying stuff for "my house". How freaking cute is this ice cream scoop, I can't contain my excitement. I think you can also get these in Sainsbury's for a similar price.

Cath Kidston 'Cath Kids' set - TK Maxx £12.99

So ok, this is for kids? No. Everything is a good enough size for an adult to use so I bought it!
This is another thing for "my house" haha :(

You get a mug, a plate, a bowl and an egg cup in this super cute print which comes in a really pretty tin. No way was I going to leave this set on the shelf.

Florida Wall Picture - Etsy £16

This is something for my wall. It's a (sort of) map of Florida the "land of sunshine".
Florida is my favourite place in the world and I cannot wait to go back with the boyf. It's like, our place :')
My room is filled with Florida reminders, photos, souvenirs etc. so this is going to add nicely, I just need to find the perfect picture frame.

Apologies, I said "cute" a lot in this post.

ARUNDEL ADVENTURES

As you may have already known from my last blog post which was an OOTD on Sunday, myself and Peter went to Arundel which is a cute little town in West Sussex, not far from where I live. It's a place I used to visit with my grandparents when I was little so it brought back such lovely memories. When we first got to Arundel we walked around a big lake called Swanbourne Lake:

It was so fun walking around the lake, I love nature and the views were beautiful. We came across lots of different ducks and they were so cute!

A scary little shack, no thanks!

Carving our initials into a tree. Aww.

We then went to Arundel Castle and today they had one of their medieval days

We then went up to the Castle Keep which is the oldest part of the castle.

Amazing views from the Castle Keep

Ended the day back at Swanbourne lake with ice creams. I got a ZZAPP :P

I will be posting a vlog of the day this Saturday on emzxbeauty which will show a little more of what we did, so make sure you subscribe.
Also check out the giveaway I am currently doing

Thanks so much for reading, following etc.
